DuraCoat is a two part hard coat polymer that is self lubricating to a certin extent; extremely hard, oil, boresolvent, and wear resistant. It will resist 100 inch pounds of direct impact and 80 inch pound of reverse impact. Its pencil hardness runs H to 2H. DuraCoat has passed the 300 hr salt spray test, which far exceeds military requirements for a firearms finish. It is available in 53 standard colors and 7 electric colors and is safe to use on plastics and synthetics since it dose not require baking at a high temp to cure. In my expierence it has proved to be extremely durable under field conditions (takes a pretty good whack to scratch it or nick it), (if it is applied properly). Joe |

Its a precut vinyl Amstripe pattern available from Lauer Weaponry. You could make them your self, if you have the time out of some 3M plastic tape. I use 1/8" & 1/4" it to tape up #'s on turret knobs and other samll things but it looks like the same material. I have also mad this pattern out of regular painters making tape. For me its much easier & cheaper (if you add in my time) to just to buy it precut. Joe |
