I have searched and i did find the read up on removing it with the two pins at 6 and 12, but my question rgards the dissipator. I have one taper pin through the very bottom and i have teh taper pin removed, is the comp silver soldered as well? also will the izzy brake go on using the existing cut in the barrel where the pin for the miny y was? w/ the comp removed is the barrel still 16"? it is the h-bar version, not the m4. thanks in advance for any/ all help. if the comp is silver solder, what effect will heat have on the parkerizing, etc?

the reason for the izzy is that im stuck in the lovely peoples republic of new york.

now are they taper pins that are ground down then finished? B.c I only have 1 taper pin that i can see at the very bottom, it appears that it is a mini y that was added on after the fact?

If you have a 14.5 inch barrel which it sounds like you do then it is not a legal 16 inches with the mini y removed it's 14.5.
