My gunsmith has a 16" preban HBAR for sale.  He doesn't know the maker.  The only markings on the barrel are "W 9 A."

The makings are about an inch from the receiver - so you could not see them if the barrel was mounted with handguards.

Anyone know the make?   Thx.

Thanks mongo.  A couple of follow up questions.

1.  What's a Wylde chamber (forgive my ignorance)?

2.  What's a fair price for this barrel in good condition?

Thanks.

The Wylde chamber is a chamber between the "loose" 5.56 military chamber and the "tight" .223 chamber.  It's a compromise between a strict match chamber and a loose military chamber - the best of both worlds, for lack of a better term.  The barrel itself might be worth about $100-$125, depending on it's condition, round count and buyer's need.  New barrels like this can be found for $150 or so.
