In browsing through the Black Rifle II I noticed some pics of extractors from Colt, FN, and Diemaco.  All are said to be forged and all have a makers mark on the backside, ie. C on the Colt, F on the FN, and D for Diemaco.  All milspec manufacturers obviously.  My question is, are other well known brands such as Bushy, Rock River, etc. using forged and properly heat treated extractors also ???
If I`m buying spares I don`t want junk.

Yes.  In fact, I'm not aware of ANY non-forged extractors.  A cast extractor would break quickly.

Mine broke last month after 10000 rounds of steel cased ammo. I'm not complaining.

Extractors are milled from bar stock not forgings.  Each bar produces two extractors.
