I accidentally found a solution that is so simple you will be amazed. The next time you wash your hands and dry them with a paper towel, take the DAMP (not dripping wet) paper towel and wipe your chalky white rifle receiver off with it. Just a quick wipe or two, dont rub. If you rub or scrub, the paper towel leaves lint. All you want is to wipe the surface, it will be damp and black. When it dries, you will be amazed. The paper towel will remove all white residue. If you do have a little lint from the towel, just brush it off with your fingers or a lint free cloth.
Your rifles should now look GREAT!
