I was digging through my AR stash tonight trying to decide what to pimp out/clone/modify/SBR etc. next and I got this Colt Sporter Target out. I knew it didn't have a Colt upper on it, but I got it at a fun show during the evil days for a dang good price so i couldnt pass it up. Looked at it tonight to ID the upper and barrel combination and it had NO markings. Nothing. Nada. Zero markings, sir None on the upper, none on the barrel, none on the FSB. Anyone have a clue who might have made it??? Standard preban A2, HBAR setup if that helps any. I'm thinking M1S, but my last(only) one from there at least had barrel markings. |

No chrome at all and no markings where Wizzo indicated. The lower was made in the early 90's and i got it in 2002 i believe....but I wouldn't have a clue how to date the upper. It has some rust trying to develop around the flash hider and underneath the FSB, and a little under the handguards....Doesn't mean much i guess, it could be 20 years old and slightly taken care of, or it could be 5 years old and just in piss poor shape |
