I'm having trouble with my AR. It will not eject the empty cases all the time. I have checked the extractor and ejector and both are fine. I've tried 3 types of ammo SA , MAL  and Federal 55gr soft points. Also tried 4 different mags 3 colt 20 rd and one usgi 30 rd. Had the same problem with all 4 mags. I took the gas tube off and cleaned it out . I found that my carrer key was not tight, will this cause my problem? This AR was built in 84 its an old SGW but has preformed without problem till now.

Thanks for any help

Yes a loose gas key will cause a gun not to feed correctly. Glad you found it early. Tighten to spec and stake the screws so it does not do it again.
