I have a Colt LE6920 (love it!)

My problem is that the knobs on the carry handle don't stay on like they are supposed to. I want to send it in to customer service and get it fixed, or get a new one.

Do I need to get in contact with Colt's commercial service dept, or the LE one? I'm not LE. I sent in the blue warranty card.

Thanks for the help!!!

Just call. If you are in the wrong division they will tell you.

DR beat me to it-but you shouldn't have any problems Sigurd.

I'm curious to know how Colt will handle your problem. Back in the early 90s I called them for a bad extractor, and they sent me two spares no questions asked. Since a carry handle is a pricey item I wonder if they'll want the old one back first. If they do, and you're left without a rear sight please let me know. I'll gladly loan you one of my spares until you get yours back

This is the first time I've ever heard of the knobs coming off. That would certainly be a PITA

I had two Mt6400Cs.  The first one, an older one (no T-markings, the hollow muzzle brake retention pins), had captured mounting knobs on the carry handle.  On the second one the knobs popped right off.  I switched carry handles to keep the captured one with me when I sold the older MT6400C :)

Bottom line, I'm not sure the captured knobs are standard.  Good luck with Colt, I do prefer them.

I have captured knobs on my LE6920; I love them more than words can possible explain.

Knobs coming off when they're not supposed to, yes, only in a Colt...

That's because everybody else's knobs are designed to fall off...
