If you were to venture to guess, how many more AR15's are there out there compared to AR10's?
I took a guess off the top of my head and wanted to see where you thought it was.

example 1000 to 1

thanks,
Art

The ratio is probably 10 to 1.

Something like 1,000,000 to 100,000.

50 to one, AR15's have been on the market since 1964.  the AR10? dunno.  I have a Colt transitional HBAR in the 250,000 serial number range, a 6920 in the 17000 range, there's 267K AR's right there.

Add in all the lowers and such for .223, there's a bunch!

I posted this over on the AR-10 forum, but what the heck...

I'd guess 5,000 to 1

ORD out...
P.S. - Hey Art...after we get done with some guesses, do you have an actual number...I'd really like to know!!! (Yeah...I was the dork in high school with all the useless knowledge that nobody ever wanted to hear about...oh well)

I don't know I was doing a market gesstimation

Than is why I was asking the great knowledge base here.

If you must know the correct answer is 1359 to1.  You can find the answer in the Farmers Almanac.

1578.4927 to 1 as of 5-24-05

Hundreds of thousands to one would be my guess. How many AR10s does Armalite make and sell a year, how long have they been in production. Are there even 50,000 AR10s in existance? I don't know of ANYONE who has one other than people from AR15.com I bet I have the only AR10 in my county.

Armalite has probably made less than 10,000 AR10s ever.  KAC has made even fewer SR-25s.

By comparison, Colt sold about 20,000 AR15s a year during the 80s, and that's increased to about 100,000-120,000 a year since 1997 (if you add up all the manufacturers).

That would make it somewhere around 200-500:1.

I answered this in AR10 the same way....whatever the number, YES, IT'S TIME TO START MAKING RAILED TUBES FOR THE AR15!

(And I'm still in for 3)

AR-10s just came out a couple years ago, and still don't sell a fraction of the number that AR-15s do.

AR-15 have been sold for decades.

The ratio would be higher than you show
