I just purchased one of the RRA complete uppers from gunbroker and it came without the "front sling swivel". The add said nothing about not including this piece and also had it in the picture. When I inquired about it missing the seller simply said oh no, no one uses those anymore, but if you have to have it I'll ship one to you. So I asked how would I attach it since they are riveted on. He said that they aren't riveted, that they get attached via a roll pin. Do some mfg. use roll pins on these, the only ones I've seen use a rivet? Is the seller simply trying to blow me off? Thanks in advance. |

send it back to RRA... tell them you think you got a raw deal, have them check if it is one of thieis. I'd be interested to know who you bought it from cause I'm thinking of getting one. If you don't want to post the name send me an IM. I had problems with a dealer once and we can exchange info. |
Do you have a link to the gunbroker ad? BTW, they should be mounted with roll pins. I have never seen one with rivets. |
The std. sling swivels are always mounted with a rivet, that is the correct way it is done. |

My new RRA came with two front sling mounts. The fixed one on the lower portion and the removable one (using roll pins) on the side. I removed mine. It was a little cheesy. http://pic18.picturetrail.com/VOL875/3165911/6449842/88758406.jpg |
I don't even think his receivers are RRA, he sells them for like $79 I bought one from him quite awhile back, the damn anodizing started coming off the edges on the outside and inside very quickly. |
Funny thing is the seller on gunbroker.com listed the item on the 3rd of March and RRA tells me, as of 24th of March that they (RRA) just started putting "T" numbers on their receivers, along with their logo. See email from RRA Inside Sales Rep below.
Anyone else have RRA Receiver with "T" numbers on them? |
Ahhh, gunbroker horror stories. Everyone has one, I got one too. TON80 sold me a rifle that was supposed to be a complete RRA rifle, instead I got a parts gun sent to me half wraped in a bed sheet. Damn buttstock was even installed canted and it had a full length buffer spring in the carbine buttstock. |

That doesnt sound like a RRA rifle to me. Im really careful what I buy from Gunsamerica or GunBroker. Back when I decided to get my first AR-15 about 6 years ago (during the ban), I saw a smoking deal from this guy on gunsamerica. 550 dollar mistake. The thing was a pile of junk. After that I decided to research them, and put them together myself. Moral of the story. If the deal sounds too good to be true? Jeff |

There is also a guy on Gunbroker selling what he describing as "Bushmaster" uppers but then goes on to say how they use ER Shaw chrome-moly barrels . That is the first clue that it is'nt a real Bushmaster upper assembly. He is another guy that abuses the term "mil-spec"
