[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Tactical Vest setup

I'm putting together my tactical vest in anticipation of training this spring. I'm planning on taking a Carbine/pistol course at either Blackwater or Storm Mtn. I'd like some suggestions as to how others have setup a vest (or other gear) to work with carbine and pistol. Specifically placement of holster and mag pouches.

Heres what I'm working with:

Tactical Tailor modular vest (pouches can be placed anywhere)
Standard military 2.25 in web belt
2 carbine magpouches (3 mags each)
1 pistol mag pouch (2 mags)
4x8 in zippered pouch (I use it for spent mags)
Kydex Pistol Holster for 2.25 belt

I shoot right handed and wear the pistol holster strong side on the belt. This is how I wear the gun when I carry, and practice so I'd rather not move the holster location.

Any suggestions?

You may want to move this/repost this in the "tactical gear" forum in the Armory.

Yeah, there are too many forums here, you probably didn't even know there WAS a tactical gear forum, much less an "Armory" section, did you?

No problem bro. There must be 100 forums here on AR15.com. Heck, I didn't even know that women shot guns until I noticed the "women Shooters" forum the other day!
