After I get done shooting, I scrub everything down, clean the bbl, etc...I am wondering how often some of you may take the entire lower apart, trigger group and all to clean her out and scrub her down.

TIA, Chris.

Around 500 rounds or so.

I swab it out with a q-tip every time, just a once over. I don't think I ever took it apart to clean.

Almost never.

If I'm in a really dirty environment, I might run a q-tip down in there.  But that's pretty rare.

+1 to what markm said.

No need to disassemble the lower unless it get's really dirty.

I clean mine in a solvent tank and blow it out with compressed air.  I do the upper and lower at the same time, but only every 500 rounds or so.  Sometimes even longer between cleanings.
I pay more attention to the match FCG's in those guns than the stock FCG's.

Swab with with q-tips if dirty, but I make sure to put a little tetra grease on high-wear hammer/disconnector surfaces to prolong component life.

I have about 5000 Rounds through my lower so far. Seems I am doing what most of you are.

Thanks!

Q-tips at post-firing cleanings

If it gets really nasty, then carb-cleaner and CLP.

I try to refrain from totall dissasembly as much as possible for fear of wear to the receiver.

I figure in a couple years these things will be totally banned, so I need to look out for it's welfare now.

If it gets dirty, air hose with a light spray of oil and the air hose again.Otherwise the Q-Tip
