[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Chamber Question

Done the search and read as much as I could find but could not get a specific answer to this question. The receiver on the Colts are marked 223 but the barrels are marked 5.56 NATO. Is the chamber in fact 5.56? Any help is appreciated.
