sportsmans guide is offering a 24in stainless heavy flat top 4 picatinny rail "Vulcan" upper assbly for 450$   good or good looking junk?   What is optimum barrel length anyway?  would apprecaite any feedback/experience/better options  Thanks

For general use, there's not much need for anything longer than 20"....check out midwayusa.com they were selling complete DPMS uppers for about the same money
