I finally got my m1s varminter to the range.  We had a few problems with it, I had the hammer spring slightly off in how I put it in and the trigger didn't like to reset.  Then we couldn't get it to group well at 100 yards.  The scope mount was a little loose.  Anyway, after getting the hammer spring fixed the gun cycled perfectly and after tightening the scope mount the groups got better.  I wasn't overly thrilled with the group sizes.  We would get a couple shots touching and the a flier making groups about 3 or 4 inches wide.  Correcting the hammer spring stiffened the trigger a lot, the trigger is brand new and it was 2 below zero with a little wind which I'm sure didn't help much.  I'm going to go back when it's a little warmer with better ammo. and some polishing and trigger work done.  I think it will be extremely accurate once I shake out these few bugs.  I want the rifle to shoot well in extreme cold as that is when the predators around here are most active.  What would you recomend for grease or lube?  I had CLP on this trip but it seems slugish in the real cold weather and especially when the rifle started getting a little dirty.

You might want to try some moly slide lube.  It has worked great for me.
