| Has anybody every tried these? |
| The TD is not as large as the Samco grip and does not take up as much rail. Im not really talking about the diameter of the grip, Im just talking about overall size. Take a look at both side by side and you can see just what I mean. Im sure they work just fine but I cant see a reason that anyone would actually WANT one over any of the others. They offer no advantage over anything else. While other grips I see do offer advantages over the Samco. The TD for example has the SF cutout, takes less spase, does not hang down as low, has better contour, etc... I see quite a few come in to where I work and a LOT of people want to trade theirs in to me for a different one. When I ask why they bought the one they had, they usually respond that it was all the place they bought it from had. |

I've tried one for about a year, and used it at a carbine class. Pros: 1) Reasonably priced 2) Light 3) Easy on/off with the push button 4) *Newer ones* have a storage compartment 5) Works well on the Fobus & YHM rail systems (with the slots in those rails the KAC types don't work as well) Cons: 1) Only a single retention point (and it's plastic - by comparison the Tango Down has 4 retention points). 2) Finger grooves (which may not fit your hand) 3) Oval Shap which forces you to bend your wrist to keep it aligned. Personally I prefer round & symnetrical shapes for the VFG (KAC types are my favorite). Even the Tango Down feels much more comfortable to me. |
