Are you going to be dragging it through any brush?

Do you need the extra weight on the front?

Do you think it looks cool?

If the answer to the above is yes, then get it.

I probably wouldn't put it on mine, but then again I am saving for the LaRue tube.

Installed one on my FF tube, you may need to relieve the inside area to fit over your barrel.

You can use a carbine handguard cap if you have one laying around.  This is a rifle-length but I'm sure it would work on a carbine too.

not sure , but doesn't the end cap contact the barrel? Therefore make it a non Free float ?

No, the end cap does not touch the barrel.

I just went thru this like last week or the week before . If you have RRA you need 1 1/16" end cap per RRA.

YES! It will save your handguard if it recieves a nasty hard knock.

It weighs about .1 ounce. If you are holding it in your hand you can barely notice it.

Very nice setup guys, it is true that they make 2 different end caps and I wanted the smaller one so I could fit it to size.

If you have no acess to tooling I would go with what would fit, do I need it? Negative, but I did like the looks after installing.

The end cap does dress up the end of the FF tube nicely.
