Does the military still use the Colt upper and lower for their SPRs? I thought I read somewhere that the upper is a M4 with feed ramps, is this correct? If I planed on building one would the LE6920 ((upper (less barrel) and lower)) be the closest thing I could find as a cilvilian?

These are issued where I am now, but this article was educational to me.  It mentions MSTN's clone, and MSTN is right here in the Industry forum.  A cililian should be able to get an exact replica, or build one himself.  I have not seen much consistency in the way the military SPR's are constructed except for the 18" Douglass bbl. with the brake and can.  Mod 0 and Mod 1 obviously use different parts.  I don't see myself preferring it to the M24, though.
