I'm considering purchasing a tailcap activated Surefire for my rifle, but aren't sure how I want to mount it.

I think that placing it on the 9 o'clock rail would work the best, since I'm right handed, and that would allow me to activate the light with my left thumb.

But if I put it at 9 o'clock, it seems like my sling and sling mount (also at 9 o'clock, but further down the rifle) will be right in the path of the light.

How do y'all get around this, or is it not a big deal?

Thanks!

get a rail that clamps to the front sight and a sling attachment that clamps under the front sight around the barrel.  RRA sells both.
