[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Magazine Question

What is best in an AR-15 mag? I know USGI is best but does it matter who manufactures them or as long as they are USGI are they the same? Do I want steel or aluminum? What are the different coating used? I have heard of teflon and another one, which is best? Finally what will a top of the line mag new in wrapper cost? Thanks

This isn't a dig at you, but did you notice that there's a whole forum on AR15 magazines? All that you seek you will find there... and a whole lot more!

teflon coated aluminum is the best imo--brands: lebelle, okay, dh

england steel mags are ok too

stay away from non-usgi mags
