Just bought a 4-position stock from a local gunstore. It's sitting next to me but I've noticed when you put it in the shortest position, the lever on the bottom isn't taut and has a lot of play in it. When you move it out to longer positions the lock up is fine. Is this stock crap or is there a fix for this?

Standard.
This is why many prefer the faux collapsible

Please show me 1 person who prefers the Faux Collapsible.  Just 1.

The Faux collapsable was thrust on us courtesy of the Clinton Administration, it was definately not a preffered option by ANYONE.

This is unusual.  It sounds like the closest detent hole was not fully drilled - with a drill press you could fix that quicky and easily.

could be running the pin past the last stop too. the latch should always be tight no matter which detent it's in.

Not a big concern so long as it is a 4 POSITION COLLAPSIBLE STOCK.
