Last week I got my Bushmaster M4gery.  Only took 10 days to arrive after I placed the order with a local dealer. I didn't get a chance to take it to the range until today.  Wow, what a friggin' rush!!  I have a H&K and a couple of Glocks, but  this was my first experience shooting a rifle.  Way, way, cool.  I expected to spend a while dialing in the sights, but didn't have any problems keeping things nice and tight from 50 yds.   Is it supposed to be that straightforward?  I know it will get a lot harder outodoors and from 100+ yds.

Man, I have to find a way to reallocate some $$$ to pay for ammo I know I'm going to use.

Plus, I want an EOTech and few other accessories.  This is waaaaaaaaay fun.

Start reloading Actually, you can get some good ammo deals online. Outdoormarksman.com (sp?) has good deals on bulk 223 (Federal AE and Lake City SS109).  AR's are a pleasure to shoot because of their straight design (very little muzzle climb). Highly recommend the Eotech. Go with the AA version. This is only the beginning, prepare to spend thousands more on accessories and maybe a few more rifles.

Cool dude, welcome to the club. Now go to your local show, and get some surplus ammo and reloads to feed that thing. EO Tech is a good choice as well, short of an ACOG that is

Yes they are that accurate out of the box and for all practical purposes that accuracy out to 100 yds is all you will ever need in a carbine when used at real world distances at 100 yds and under.Although it is capable of accuracy out to 350 to 400 yds from a 14.5 on par with a full size rifle at the same range.Eventually you will end up with more than 1 so you will be able to get as many confiurations as you want.
