Just took delivery of a new Bushmaster, 14.5" barrel, Izzy FS, A3, all of the "evil" features. No LE markings on this one. Finish looks very good, upper and lower match perfectly, one small ding of no consequence on the FS, indexed perfectly. Haven't had a chance to rock and roll with it yet. I did put a TA01NSN on it and bore sighted. I will say this, I don't care for the looks of the new Izzy as much as the phantom and glad I opted to put a phantom on my new upper, on back order. But, after I shoot it, I may have a different opinion. The ACOG on this one is temporary, it will move to the new upper as soon as it comes in, ARM SIR 45M, 16" M4 barrel, phantom, new Bush lower, complete also on back order and will put a Magpul on this one as well as a Harris bipod. Next, need another ACOG, either a TA31F, or compact, or... something?? Not sure if I'll move my Aimpoint off the A2 and onto the new A3 and get a TA31 or compact for the A2, or go with the TA31F and put it on the new A3, or the TA50R-4, also a very tempting scope, tough decisions. It has a 1:9 right hand twist. I went with the standard carbine configuration assuming it would be easier and quicker to get. For the new upper, I'm not in as big a hurry, so I swapped out barrels and changed the FS to the phantom, I just happen to like the look of that one. I am pleased with the new rifle. After all the brew ha speculation about slipping quality due to increased sales, I am pleased that the rifle, at lest the cosmetis, looks very good. Blackhorse rifles and coffee, best black. |
