I have the Colt #6400 with the M4 handguards.  My hands are small and delicate, and the M4 handguards are a little too big.
Can someone recommend a good replacement for them with a conventional diameter that I could attach a flashlite to?

Ryann, how would you like to attach the flashlight? A set of conventional CAR handguards would be narrower than your Colt M4 handguards, and they would snap right in.

Here's a pic to demonstrate the difference in thickness:

Would you rather have some sort of a rail system with a vertical foregrip?

Does anyone have pics of some Bushmaster M4 handguards?

I just want the basic grips those conventional grips look like they'd do......will standard grip fit on a Colt or are Colt grips proprietary?

Any standard AR handguards will fit your Colt.

Here is a M4 that I refinished, the officer who owns it leaves standard handguards on it.  You can also notice the flashlight mount under the handguard.

Hope this pic helps....

Stick, what kind of mount is that-and can you provide a good source?

I would like to put inexpensive, detachable lights on four of my builds-and that setup looks perfect. I'm not willing to shell out $1600 for four dedicated M500s on rifles that less than $600 each to build.

Thanks in advance
