Fellow AR shooters!

I just joined the club with a Bushmaster M4gery.  It shoots great!  Put the front post on the steel plate at 100 yards and you hear a ding shortly after the tirgger is pressed.

My question is flash-hider related: where do I get a molded plastic or rubber cap for my vortex flash-hider?  The sharp edges of the vortex scratch my cheek when I sleep with the rifle.  :-)

I would imagine it is not a very expensive item.  If anyone has a spare, please let me know.

Gee I have the same problem too! Except I don't have the vortex!

Just be real careful when you start humping it!

Standard AR-15 muzzle caps should work with the Vortex.  They are available in Red or Black from Bushmaster and most other AR-15 part vendors.

Awww, quitcherbitchin - you don't know what pain is until you've slept with a jagged-edged Phantom.

Woops!  I THOUGHT I have a Vortex.  I just looked it up and mine is really a Phantom.  Will it take the same caps as Vortex and Birdcage?

Yes they are all 25mm muzzle devices.  I have on my 5C2 Phantom right now.

Stick a condom or balloon over the muzzle if you're worried about dust getting in.  Other than that, I can't think of any reason to cover a flash hider.

I am not worried about getting the rifle pregnant or dirt getting in so condom is not a solution.  I want a cap for storage so the sharp edges are concealed.  The flash-hider that I have is tearing up soft assault bag.
