I was assembling an upper last nigth and the holes on the FSB did not line up with the notches on the barrel for the pins.  I do not want to take a file to the barrel and i doubt that i could get them straight enough anyways to acheive a proper zero.Does anyone make a FSB of anysort  that clamps on or uses set screws to attach as opposed to the dowel pins?  Thanks in advance for the help.

The only company that I know of that makes a FSB that does'nt require pins and pin channels on the barrel are from Armalite. They used screws to attach the FSB until Act 922 expired. They did not have bayo lugs on them. Since the ban expired, Armalite now has traditional pin-on FSB with bayo lugs.  I don't know if they are selling the screw-on types with bayo lugs, though.

I suggest you check out the Armalite website:

Just drill and tap the holes in your FSB for 8 36 setscrews and mount it.

Refer to the link for how to do it.
