| What are Colt SP1s going for these days? I know what people are asking for them, but I haven't seen any sold for such prices ($1100 and beyond). |
|
It would depend upon the condition and serial number. A NIB one from the late 60's just went for $2200. A trashed one from the late 70's might go for $700-$800. I have a couple of 3 digit serial #'ed ones, some of the first few made, in VERY nice condition, probably worth 3-4 grand each to the right collector. The Vietnam looking ones with the 3 prong flash hiders seem to be gaining in popularity...They are very nice, very simple, and very accurate. |
I picked up a SP1 Carbine Ser#12XXXX LNIB w/ 2 20 rd colt mags & Colt 3X20 scope, and Assault Systems carry case for $1200.00 a little over a year ago, It is very nice, clean and appears to have been fired very little. The only thing that was missing was the instruction manual. That being said, The wife got her hands on it, and now it is pretty much her rifle. |
| Yep, I bought mine during the AWB for $900. I think they will hover right around there for a while now..... somewhere in the $700 to $1000 mark. Some people will have payed $2000 for theirs (I know people who payed $2500 for SP-1 carbines) and those people will ALWAYS argue they are collectors items. Whatever. |
