| Pretty stupid post but.....Anyone know a site where you buy these bumper stickers. Its just a white oval sticker with the AR/M4 silhoutte. They look similar to the Life,lib,etc.. stickers..Thanks, I googled everything, came up with squat. Thanks |
|
I think this might be what you are looking for. www.cafepress.com/000buckwear/28733 |
DO NOT PUT THIS ON YOUR CAR! The cops will fuck with you six ways to sunday.
|
I have AR-15A2 for personalized plates and I get thumbs up from cops, put the stickers on |
Get in the wrong place at the wrong time, spend ten hours in an interogation room haveing you rights violated, I think you'll get the point! Plus haveing any firearms related items on car/home is begging to get robbed. I'm glad to hear that your cops aren't pricks like around here.
|
Here's how it goes; Cop: do you have any weapons? Me: No. Cop: Do you mind if I look around? Me: No. Cop: O.k. sighn here so we can look around. Me: I'm not sighning anything without my attorny telling me what it is! Next thing I know I am held for over ten hours while they wait for a judge to sighn a warrent, and then for them to do the search, then continue to question me after they didn't find any thing. It was absolutly ridiculas! ![]() |
I don't think there was PC, cause if there was I think they could have done a search without a warrant? I was in Kalifornistan at the time and I had magazines (the type you read) laying on the floor of my van. I think the cops started on a fishing trip, then from what I understand, my refusal to sighn my life away was viewed as cause for a warrant, cause I "just got to have something illegal or I would have sighned". so now I play it cool and never talk about guns in public or let anyone know that I own/carry weapons.
|
yeah, sounds like time for popcorn!! |
| BS, Ive got 7.62MM as a tag, a PTSP sticker, Bush'04, on the back of my Jeep, and any Police who runs my tags will come back that I have a CCW, And Ive NEVER had any problems, If you did, Odds are you were doing something Dumb, or being an Ahole............Udog |
|
On a recent traffic stop, the driver had a Bushmaster and a "got guns?" sticker on the back window of his truck. The cop asked where he got the stickers, chatted about AR's, and let the guy go without a ticket. Most cops are either very gun-friendly or simply ambivalent. A real anti-gun cop is a genuine rarity in most of the country. |
|
If you think THOSE draw attention... 20 years or so ago a few different outfits were offering 1:1 scale decals of ARs, Uzis and stuff designed to look like rifles on a pickup truck rear window rack -- two black vertical strips and a very realistic looking TWO DIMENSIONAL gun sticker. I had the AR on the back window of my Bronco and it never failed to elicit a reaction. One Illinois State trooper followed me all the way home and into my driveway before realizing it was just a decal, at which point he did a perfect Homer Simpson "D'OH!" On the other hand, one local cop had such a bug up his ass about it that he harrassed me every chance he got, going so far as to follow me on foot into local businesses to threaten me to remove it. His partners always looked a little embarrassed but it stayed on the window until I sold the Bronco. I've tried a Google search but I can't find anything of the kind currently offered for sale. Anyone? |
Van/magazines.... Was'nt a chomo warrant was it?
|
What is a "chomo warrent"
|
I've crossed over in to Canada going to go on annual fishing trips. Two years in a row our vehicles and gear were searched inside out top to bottom. No bumper stickers of any kind. Jimmy, are you serious with this paranoia or are you just trying to be funny? |
It wasn't funny when it happened to me, and you wouldn't think it funny if it happens to you. I don't think I am paranoid, I think I am just more expierianced, I, unfortunantly, have seen what can happen. Good for you, if you feel safe in your little world, more power to ya!

I alway figure that the guy with the "protected by Smith & Wesson" sticker doesn't even own a gun. I'd like to have one of you gentlemen put a sticker on your vehicle that reads something like "I love my AK-47", then drive through L.A. or Chicago or N.Y.city, just drive around and see how long before you get stopped. I always waundered about the punk-ass kids with the pot leaf sticker, I waunder if the cops mess with them? Do you at least agree that it would be a REALLY bad idea to have the pot sticker and the M16 sticker on the same vehicle? BTW, I think ethnicity had a lot to do with my problem.

Thats close enough....Thanks |

I live in Tidewater (SE) VA. I have a Springfield Armory bumper sticker on teh back of my truck that says "If you can read this, our snipers can drop you. Have a nice day" It's been there for 6 years. I've been pulled over in VA, MD, and DC for speeding 3 times in the last 6 years (I know, I know, slow down, but the white pickup (red neck mobile) is easy to pick out of I95 and I270 traffic amongst the Yuppiemobiles). Everytime they run my plates, it'll come back "Concealed Handgun Permit" before they even come up to the vehicle. I only carry in VA, as that's where my permit is valid. Oh, don't forget the NRA sticker, the US Navy sticker, and the Star Spangled Browning Buckmark sticker, and the gun rack in the back window. Funny enough, they seem to know the military base stickers that I have on the front glass, too. Poor taste in DC? Maybe, but it's been there since before the "Sniper" BS (read=Domestic Islamic Terrorist). Never been harassed, never been searched, almost always had guns (MD and DC passing through (rights of peaceable passage), weapon and ammo seperate locked containers), always told the officer when I had guns. NEVER GOT A TICKET, State or local cops. Even had a few laughs and good conversations. Post your sticker, it's the kind of thing that the 1ST AMMENDMENT OF THE CONSTITUTION of the UNITED STATES was meant for. |
OK, from this posting,I begin to see the light. 1) He was in the People's Democratic Republic Of Kalifornia. 2) He had magazines lying in the floor of his van. IF the magazines were visible to the cop, while standing by the driver's window, THERE'S where the problems started. Laws vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, but generally, if a cop can see something, from a position he has a LEGAL right to be in, (such as standing next to your driver's window, during a traffic stop) that leads him to a REASONABLE belief that there MAY be a violation of the law, it MAY be Probable Cause to investigate further. In Anti Gun Kalifornia, it was obviously enough to get a warrant. Before you start flaming me, remember, I said several IFs and MAYs, and this WAS Kalifornia. ![]() Lonny EDIT: This also assumes that the magazines were NOT the reading material type. |
ok, i could maybe understand if they werer loaded, RIFLE magazines, but c'mon, reading mags.... what?, do the cops in Kali hate mad magazine?
what does that have to do with anything.... its not like they are bloody severed fingers or polaroids of murdered virgins..... just magazines ok, maybe if it was the most recent copy of "World Terrorist Weekly", but even that would be pushing it oh fuckit |
| a guy I know has RUGER 44 on his plates. He got pulled over for speeding and the cop walked up to his truck with his hand on his gun. He asked my friend if he had a 44 in the truck. Cop gave him a speeding ticket and did not search the truck or give him a hard time |
The magazines were rags such as Soldier of fortune, G&A, American survivalist, ETC, ETC. After the search the cops (NAZIs) had the nerve to ask "so what were you trying to hide?". I also natice that of all the guys who don't believe me, none of you are from Kalifornistan, so you probably wouldn't believe that the Cali franchise tax bourd would sieze all of my bank accounts for back-due vehicle registration ether then would you?
|
You were in possession of G&A, there's your answer right there. Soldier of Fiction isn't that much better. Get yourself a subscription to SWAT and Small Arms Review and be free grasshopper. ![]() ![]()

I'm honestly not trying to be rude Jimmy. I also happen to think you believe it was a decal or the periodicals that touched something off. However, that doesn't seem very logical. I lean toward "something's missing" but that's just because I don't think what Jimmy went through had much to do with decals. Could it have been something else they got onto AFTER they ran the tag? NOTE: If so, that's entirely none of our business so no real need for Jimmy to explain but something like that seems to be a possibility. That said.... Please help us understand why you believe decals or gun related magazines caused the problem. |
If you let a cop search your car for whatever reason, your pretty much a dumbass to start with. |
I just magic-marker added onto my sticker - I'm the NRA and I voted! |
so let me guess.... the LEO pulled you over... ran your license and vehicle registration, and found that you had problems on your record with keeping your registration current.... let me ask you.... were you wearing camo by chance...?? just curious... because I have found here in Tennessee, when peeps have problems being able to keep their vehicle registrations current, in most cases there is another underlying issue.... so that may have prompted the initial search... and more often than not I have also found that the individual is linked to some sort of drug activity or some kind of wannabee millitia... the additon of the "gun magazines" on the floor would just add to the suspension.. and being that you do live in an anti-gun state, I would say that you are causing your own trouble by not keeping current vehicle registrations... with the addition of the sticker, the mags, and clothing.... I might have searched you too.... just my .02 |

I was hassled once about 8 years ago bya cop. Cop pulled me over in a gas station parking lot. I had stopped at the gas station to dump out a bag of left over fast food b/c I was parking my car for about a week in the sun, had just detailed my truck, and didn't want it smelling of McDonald's french fries. Pulling out of the parking space I put my truck in drive instead of reverse. My truck maybe moved an inch forward, I realized I was heading forward, hit the brakes, looked at my gear shift, laughed really hard that I was stupid enough to put the truck in drive instead of reverse, I put the truck in reverse and began backing out of the parking space. As soon as I backed up and had the truck in drive a cop came up behind me in the parking lot w/ lights and siren going. I had to go through the full "turn car off, hands out window, drop keys out the window, exit vehicle, walk backwards toward me w/ hands in the air, put hands behind head with fingers interlocked...etc." Fun time...let me tell you. I figured I was mistaken for someone. The cop was professional and did everything by the book as far as I could see. I did get a pat down and cop told me I appeared to be "under the influence of drugs and or alcohol." I took this as an excuse to pull me while they got their ducks in a row. Being stone cold sober, underage and didn't drink at that time, didn't do drugs, friends didn't do drugs, and having just detailed my truck inside and out I knew I was TOTALLY clean. Cop said he wanted to search my truck for drugs and I said "No sir." He said he would then bring out the dogs and that could take an hour for them to get there. I said fine. If the dogs hit then you have the right to search. Cop asked why I didn't want him to search and I told him b/c I didn't have to let him and if he had a good enough reason he had the right to search w/o my permission. At this point I had been 'detained' on the scene for about half an hour and was getting a bit impatient but I was still courteous. The cop got a little testy and told me "I followed you from the interstate (appx 2 miles away) because you were driving suspiciously... yadda yadda..." You get the drift of what was going on. Punch line... The cop walked me around to the far back side of my truck and tapped his mag light on a sticker a friend of mine put on my truck cover that I hadn't seen...a small Grateful Dead sticker! I had a friend that was trying to grow up to be a hippie. LOL. Anyways... This as far as I could see at the point was all this over a sticker....either that or I matched the description of someone they were looking for...or they had had problems with hippy-types. My guess is my vehicle matched the description of a vehicle they had been looking for and since they had me they were going to make sure I wasn't who they were looking for. End of story coming... My record check/license check came back clean as a whistle. Cop wanted to keep me detained so I said in a nice manner "Sir, you have no reason to detain me any further. Please let me go or arrest me if you have grounds." I would have pooped myself if the cuffs had come out. The cop let me go after giving me a lecture about drinking and driving. By the way - it was the middle of the day! After thinking about this for years I figured that my truck matched a truck they were looking for. The cop probably finally realized that I wasn't who they were looking for and was trying to find something else to stick on me. Gotta love small southern towns. The cop was professional but I finally got tired of sitting in a gas station parking lot with a crowd of on lookers w/ nothing better to do. Fun times all in all. On another point I saw a sticker a few months ago on the back of a truck that said "Concealed Weapons Permit Holder." I got a good laugh out of that one. |
