is there anyone who offers a 6.8 upper or weapon w/ chrome bore besides Barrett. Them boys want an awful lot for an upper, let alone a complete weapon. I really want to do a 6.8 build, but, | don't want a short length gas system and a non chrome bore. Well, if I could get a mid lengh gas system w/ regular bore I might think about it. Also, is 6.8 going to be adopted or what? I want a mid bore AR in the caliber that will be adopted by Military.

Is it possible that the 6.5 grendel will be adopted instead?

Some like the 6.5, but its unlikely that the 6.8 would be passed up in favor of the 6.5. Right now, only Barret offers chromed barrels. LMT is rumored to be working on something.

On the EE, BravoCompanyUSA is offering chrome-lined barrels/uppers in 6.8SPC.

Mid-length "regular", if "regular" means stainless -- MSTN, PRI, JTAC.

Neither will likely be "adopted" short-term. Remember 6.8 was developed by and for S.F.

6.8SPC will succeed. Don't worry.
