If I buy a post ban style Bushmaster dissipator upper is it possible to add a flash suppresor onto the stubby barrel end? What would I have to do?

You'll need to have the muzzle threaded.  I'm pretty sure it can be done.

Do you mean the mini Y comp when you say dissipator?  If yes, then you can remove it.  I was told by the dealer who sold me my Bushy M4 post ban that the mini y comp is threated on the barrel then pinned in place.

I have a Phantom on a threaded Dissipator M-4 barrel, works fine and looks neat too!

Easy solution, don't buy it. Buy a no ban / pre ban upper.

Why would anyone want a dissipator, get a m-4 style upper, if you want a 16 1/2" barrel.

JMHO.

Sorry for my ignorance repub18.  Did not mean to pass on incorrect info.  Still learning about the AR15 and all the different stuff.

The reason I am asking is that I may be able to get the upper for $200.00 but I don't like to lack of a supressor.

$200 is a good price... you can send it to ADCO or other 'smith listed here and get the threads/FH put on for less than $100. The complete upper new from Bushy is over $500.
