[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Rail Cover Texture?

Can someone please describe the texture types for rail covers like magpul, kac, falcon ind, tango down etc. Some look like they are a hard rough plastic while others appear to be a tacky style rubber. Just want some light shed on the subject. Thanks.

The XT rail panels by magpul are rubber not plastic. They are not quite as tacky as say a hogue replacement grip but certainly not a hard slick plastic.

The MagPul XT covers are not "tacky or sticky" at all. They are textured. Very textured.

IMO, they are awesome.
