when the word "tactical" is used to describe an AR, it makes me cringe a little.

It's so corny and such an obvious marketing ploy.

like - "Buy our TACTICAL flashlight"

I think it's time for a boycott.

Tell your favorite supplier of Johnnie Suburban Commando accessories that you will not buy his corny mailorder sh-t untill he stops calling it "tactical".

There are those guys out there that are "tactical" or "real world"...More power to you guys as far as I'm concerned. Your choice. You take the risks, you get the rewards.

Me, I'm not. I don't wanna be...I'm just a regular guy with a regular job, goes to a regular home at the end of a regular day at work. I drive a Honda, not a Hummer.

I just go shooting my guns with regular ammo, down at the regular range. I like bein' regular

Tactical was the politically correct word to replace Assault.

They had to have words to make the Bad Black Rifle acceptable.

Choices...Sporting and Tactical.

MT (is not a very sporting person)

Yeah, I am just a very average joe too, and do not even carry a gun on a regular basis even though I have a carry permit, but I never, I mean NEVER, leave the house without my mil-spec tactical underwear on!

Mil-Spec vs. Tactical ?

If something is Mil-Spec; it would by definition already be tactical,
but something tactical may not always be mil-spec ? . . . . . . . . . or is it the other way around
