[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Which Ar-15 ??

I'm gonna start a war. I have $1200 burning a hole in my pocket, waiting for the second week of September to come. I am going to buy a AR-15. But heres the dilema, what brand? Colt, Bushmaster or Armalite. Some people I talk to say Bushy has a better barrel chrome from front to end. I am confused. all comments welcome.

Without starting a war...

You can't go wrong with a Bushmaster... and you can configure it any way you want with that $1200 you have :)

Off the shelf will hit you for about $900. Use that Extra $300 on whatever you want.

Many will recommend Colt as they are usually considered the standard to which all others are held.

I would say get a Bushmaster & alot of ammo/USGI mags. You will lose very little in the quality department and with the price between the two, you can get a truckload of mags and ammo.

Bushmaster..but I also own a RRA lower and upper,bushy barrel and an Armalite M15 full size,have a bushy barrel assembly waiting for the ban to end.A carbon model#4 wich is my wifes.All 3 Bushmasters are pre ban carbines.Cant go wrong with Bushmaster.

I've got all 3. They're all great IMO and I've never had any problems with any...at least not so far.

Since you're waiting for after the ban I'd reccommend a LE colt.

Why? because they say AR-15 on them.
