Is there a big problem with puting the same upper on different lowers?

yes~! if you have two lowers why the hell do you only have one upper?

Some people that deploy to overseas assigmants like to take their on equipment with them when possible and use thei own handgards optics,lights etc...

Many of us here have tried that idea. It never works , then you'll want to use a different stock, or furniture, or you'll want to take a buddy shooting, ect.... Upper and lower receivers are just attracted to each other.
