[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Newb question

Been lurking for a while and have a few questions. Am looking at buying my first AR in about a month, but not sure who is best. Am looking at RRA, Bushmaster, and Ameetec( a local company that I don't know much about). I am looking for real world feedback/comparisons. I understand the technical difs i.e. 6061vs.7075 ,4140vs.4150.
I am looking at an m4gery A2 or A3 as a shtf/cqb/plinking system. hings

Whatever you get, make sure it has chrome-lined bore and chamber.

Take some time and read the info on the board. You still be just as confused about what rifle to get, but you'll learn a lot along the way.

If you are interested in Local, you can also look at Cav Arms - they make good stuff, too.

I've got an Ameetec Lower, and it's very nice. (Still just a lower, though. At least until September 14th!)
