Just how much does two Standard A-2 handguards plus barrel nut plus delta ring assembly/spring and the little triangle shaped handguard thing just behing the front sight base weight I know many free floating forends weight around 14 - 18 oz for rifle lenth and replaces the above parts. So how do the two setups compare? |

Without the front handguard cap, it weighs 12.50 ounces according to my very accurate postal scale. I don't have a FH cap so I can't do any better. Hope it helps. |
Depends very much on which FF system you use. |
If I recall correctly, the DD 7.0 forearm actually weighs less than the M4 HG it replaces. This is due to the fact that the DD unit uses an aluminum barrel nut and gets rid of the stock steel unit. |
