i just did a search and didn't come up with much info i could relate to. my question is: - is it legal to buy 30rd mags in Maryland? (or will it be legal when AWB sunsets?) - what brand and where is the best place to order mags from? all help is highly appreciated. |

Hypothetically, Who would know? That is the problem with all the do-gooders, they pass all these silly ass laws with no practical way to enforce them. It is all about image, "I am a good democrat, look at all these neat gun laws we passed." When in fact all these laws do is....well..........uh....nothing. |

It's legal to posses hicap mags in MD, just not buy or sell them. It's perfectly legal to buy them elsewhere and bring them home. Yet another reason I'm glad I left MD back in the day... |

Having lived in both places I can ASSURE you MD is FAR worse. CCW in CT is 'shall issue' CCW is MD is pretty much for the heavily connected politicos. 30 rounders or Beta mags in CT? No problem - in MD you can only buy 20s if you want larget you have to drive to another state to purchase. Want to buy an AR or handgun in CT? Go in - NICS or CCW then walk out with firearm. In MD you have to pay an extra $10, watch a stupid anti-gun 'safety' video then wait 8 days. Oh if your paperwork didn't come back in 8 days most FFLs won't release the firearm to you (unless they know you really well). |

I think you are forgetting that these elected officials think these assinine laws are common sense. After all it is these "common sense laws" that are supposed to keep us safe. Isn't it common sense "to want to keep our children and our streets safe"?  The fact is that concepts like these are what does make sense to the soccer moms and the woefully misinformed masses.
