Thus, I would be correct in saying that the scope mounted on it would not have any front sight post shadow in it, right?

Yes, it should raise the scope higher than the front sight.

If you have enough magnification in your scope (like over 3x) you shouldn't even notice the front sight.

I know I don't, even with a 3x compact ACOG.  And I certainly don't with a 16x Tasco SS.

That dohicky will raise the scope up to an uncomfortable level in which you'll have to find a new cheek weld.

the swift i just got is 1.5-4.5  I'm not planning on magnifying alot,,,,its more like my eyes don't do my aimpoint justice, so i felt small (2-3) magnificaiton was the way to go ..........
