| All right I finally have the money to buy a AR, I have around 1400 to spend. I would like a Pre-Ban but I haven't seen one in my area (Rochester area, NY) in any local shops and none that are in my price range online, so that limits my choice to post-ban. Now there are two shops that are selling Bushmasters, one is selling a M4A3 with mini-y comp and A2 stock for $1000 and the other shop is selling a Shorty A3 for $950. I am wondering which one I should get, I like the looks of the M4 but I have heard bad comments about the mini-y, it doesn't matter about the HBar vs. Gov't profile and it doesn't matter that one is only 14.5" and the other 16". Does anyone have any advice on which one I should get? Is the mini-y all that bad as I have heard? Very loud, directs gas back at the shooter. Also if anyone veiwing this lives in the Rochester area and knows of a pre-ban AR in that price range please tell where I can find it as I would like to purchase a pre-ban than a post-ban. |

I just saw the BushMaster M4s for sale in my area with the following prices: M4 with A2 upper receiver - $819 M4 with A3 flattop AND detachable carry handle - $879 Personally, I'm not a fan of the Mini-Y-Comp compensator, but you could do a whole lot worse. It is loud, but I have to admit that it's well manufactured and looks pretty cool. |
