Anyone have a pic of one ?

Why does not liking Bush make one a hippie?  I don't like them either. He's been a really crappy President.  The only problem is that his opponent is so much worse that I'll end up voting for Bush anyway---all the while hating the fact that we have sunk so low in the quality of our leadership that it's more a question of "less bad" than "more better" when you go to the polls.

Maybe it's the fact that he posted an out of context pic with a baseless hate slogan intended to inflame the readers?  Just a thaught.

Back to the subject, the rifle in question is not actually an M4 it is a GAU-5A the AF version of the xm177 however they were rebarreled years ago with a 14.5" straight barrel not an M4 contour the M4 upgrade kit consists of the M4 Contour barrel with a flattop upper, The early ones we got were A2 Style then we got the Flat Top A3s later but they were still on our old fashioned non three round burst, M16 type lowers with original GAU5 Collapsible stocks the M4 is the GUU-5P in its entirety but we did not get complete rifles when I was there we got upgrades to what we already had.

This is a GAU5A with the 14.5 inch straight contour barrel it is not M4 profile.

why is he been a very crappy president? please explain. is it because we went to war and our young men are dying for a worthless cause! so please explain so what is our military used for, let me guess college right.

remember a lot young men died so your ass could be free. I look at bush's job to be more harder than usual has a president because of the hatered most of the world has for him because of his dad.
seems to me everyone wants kerry has president so bad.

I agree.

Trolling.

Posting an off topic reply to a thread with the sole intention of getting a rise out of people.

I may be new to this forum, so I'm not up on Moderators feelings on this, but it is my experience on other boards that this is unacceptable, and out of place.

I don't know WHERE THE FUCK people get off saying Bush is a bad President.  In fact, his numbers are about identical to Klinton's at this time, and to hear the turds, he hung the frigging moon.  People just don't like strong leaders.  It galls them I guess.  Maybe they should move to France.

my only guess is that the knee pads start to cutt off your circulation  so they wear them at the ankles and pull them up when needed.

I guarantee that he isn't using those knee pads as some type of ankle protection.

That's a common way to keep them available and to give the knees/legs a rest, instead of going through the trouble of taking them off completely, when taking a temporary break from activity requiring their use.

Last time I checked, Bill Clinton and Al Gore killed far more children by allowing Saddam to continue his horseshit unchecked.  In fact, the economic sanctions imposed by the UN, and so highly regarded by the liberal left resulted in the death of many more Iraqi children.  Such are the sins of liberal wish-washy pussies who refuse to take a stand!

Frankly, George W Bush, by invading Iraq, and overthrowing the thugs in power, actually brought an end to economic sanctions imposed by the UN and did far more than Bill or Al ever did to ensure the safety of children.

Sorry, I don't buy the occasional picture of an innocent child killed at the hand of "Muslim" thugs, trying to make a point by killing innocents, as being in any way George Bush's fault.  Besides, the number of times that has happened pales in comparison to the thousands that died through liberal neglect.

The DU and gplg can pound sand.

Back on topic *cough*Kerry'sATraitor*cough*, that Air Force M4-ish carbine is identified in the latest issue of Special Weapons for Military and Police as being a GUU5P machinegun.  Why it's not listed as a carbine or rifle is somewhat beyond me, but 'GUU' kinda has me lost too.

Okay. Here's a good one. Does anyone make an upper like that with a flat top? No FA or shell deflector, but a dust cover. I was messing with my boss' SP1 the other day, and I kind of like the upper, but I want one without the carry handle.

Does anyone use their forward assist ?

seems to me like the weapons that were pictured are borderline garbage. Unless you're in some sort of special outfit, that's what you'll often get in the military. No forward assist... come on.

He had a right to put that there, just like you have the right to fly anti-Kerry ads or pro-Bush ads. There was a Bush ad on that page before he ever posted that. Are you gonna ban him too? Oh wait, you only care about people who agree with you! This is a gun forum, not a Bush forum. In fact, this is AR-15 discussions! ALL OFF TOPIC POSTS WILL BE LOCKED, so say the moderators. Besides, no one here is going to vote for Kerry, whether they like Bush or not, so it doesn't matter anyway. Back to it.

"OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM -- Capt. IIRC he's AF Spec Ops like a TACP or Combat Controller type.  My brother is an AF TACP and wears the Airborne patch and any unit Army patches he's attached to at the time.  Confuses the hell out of regular Army units if they don't know what they do.

There's hardly a comparison between the first banner and your deliberately inflammatory and lying response.  Bush and Cheney kill kids?  Hardly.

Everyone in the military is a volunteer and you have to remember that we've had far fewer troops die since 9/11 than we had civilians die on that day.  A possible violent death is part of the job description when you're in uniform.  It doesn't really apply to flying a desk in an office building, though.

Have you served, gplg?

From what I have observed, the XM177/Gau5 type with a new M4 barrel seems to be standard issue with all regular Army TACPs.

I fondeled one a few years ago. Still had the old handguards, metal buttstock, everything. Only thing new was the barrel. It had commercial M16A1 markings, not property of US Gov't. I have seen others since then that have had the handguards and buttstock replaced with the latest Colt parts.

The AF does have the oddest assortment of M16 variants.
