which is more acurrate an m14 or AR15?

IIRC, lately the rifle to beat in 1000 (no typo) yd competition is..............the AR15.

I'd say cost-wise, the AR would probably be the better choice, as well.

I think AR15s with heavier bullets and free floated fore arms passed the M14 awhile ago.

Not enough data in the question. What range ? Under what conditions ? IMHO, the AR15 is inherently capable of superior TARGET accuracy, within the limits of the cartridge.

I have read that elsewhere. The AR15 is taking over the range for accuracy. Not too bad for a Mickey Mouse gun!

Out to 600 yds, An AR will usually outshoot and is easier to shoot than an M14. At 1000 yds, an M14 and a good shooter are hard to beat. The advantage still goes to the M14 at 1000 yds, but that is a long way.
