Sweet gun!! Try mounting that 552 out a few inches on your DD FF. It tends to balance the gun  a little beter also.

Yes its just a tad butt heavy at the moment, Im trying to offset the 24 ounces that will be hung off the end of the barrel(Can).  I kinda prefer a tab nose heavy myself(think 20" hbar).  UDOG

Normally I don't like Dissy's or multi colored guns but yours is sweet!

I had some question but then went and read the other thread and all was answered except one. What did you use to mill the spr style gas block for clearance?

Thanks

What legnth is your barrel without the AAC flash hider attached? I was told by someone that if you put a AAC FH on a 14.5 in barrel that it would not bring it to the requisite 16 inches.

Any ideas?

The barrel without the Flashhider is a 16" chromelined Midlength,  The AAC FH WILL NOT! bring a 14.5 out to 16",.....The Gemtech Bilock will,  I forget the exact numbers but the AAC is something like 3/16" 1/4" too short,. I thought about a thread spacer for a Sec. but decided agianst it.  I wanted the Midlength gas system and noone I can think of makes a 14.5" middy barrel,

If I were to do it agian Id have KKF cut down a 20" and do away with the second gas block all together, But alas KKF has a 3 month lead time and im an impatient bastard  Nothing cycles as smooth as a 20" gas system.

If you really need the specs on the AAC FH I can pull mine and get em for you........UDOG

Do you have a picture of the barrel profile?  I was thinking about a midlenght with a gov't or M4 profile.  Do any dealers have them yet, or did you turn down an RRA HBAR?

Yes, ADCO is the place for these. Here's their ad on the EE... Chrome-Lined Mid-Length RRA barrels

It will cost you about $250 for one in pre-ban configuration.

Duracoat,Kg Gunkoat, powder coating, painting, Machine work, Etc Etc Etc.....Good guy to have around

All I had to do is supply the Corona and help him tape off 10 Mark4's that were getting Desert Camo'd, Stand around and shoot the sh*t, Not a bad deal I suppose...............UDOG
