and its a pvs 4 , starlight scopes are dift i believe

I, too, remember pulling perimeter security in the desert with an M16A1 w/ANPVS4.  If only I had a bipod...

I don't know if the name "starlight" scope was given soly to AN/PVS2, but 2, 4, 7, 14, etc. are all passive NVD that require some ambient light to work (unless you use an IR illuminator), so I deem all NVD are start light, moon light, distant city light scopes

I didn't have the honor of serving, I was camping in the desert goofing around
