What is the correct way to install a USGI side sling adaptor. I'm right handed so I assume the sling will be on the Left side [when holding the rifle], but should the NSN number be on top or bottom... the D ring doesn't swivel symmetrically. |

I don't feel that the function of the side sling swivel is critical enough to require it be installed to swivel a certain way. I had to install mine swiveling forward, so that I could remove the left side panel on my RAS. It might not have been designed to function that way, but it worked great with no unusual wear, binding, etc. Chris |
If you're right handed the swivel should be on the left side of the rifle. The swivel should be able to go it's full tilt towards the shooter. I can post a PIC of my 6400's swivel if you like. |
