If there are any out there now, I suggest you get them, as no one can get them any more. There may be a new option soon though. AR15.Com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=118&t=187085&page=3 I'm amazed people paid $700 for a (retail)$300 barrel with a $180(retail) brake & collar set, with $25 worth of KG Coating. Supply and demand I guess. |
| If you just want the looks, get them at ADCO. The ADCO brake's knurled nut is cosmetic and can't be unscrewed (the OPS brake has threads protected by the nut), and the inside isn't hollowed out like the OPS unit. Works well in taming the muzzle rise, I haven't shot it at night to see if it diminishes flash though. |

WE HAVE AN AGREEMENT WITH PHIL SEBERGER THAT WE WILL NOT SELL HIS MILITARY SINGLE CAVITY BRAKE AND BARREL COLLAR WITHOUT AN APPROPRIATELY CONTOURED BARREL SUITABLE FOR THE OPS-INC 12TH MODEL SOUND SUPPRESSOR. THIS IS TO ENSURE THAT, IN THE ADMITTEDLY UNLIKELY EVENT SOMEONE WERE TO INSTALL A 12TH MODEL SOUND SUPPRESSOR ON ONE OF HIS BRAKES, THE COMBINATION WOULD FUNCTION SAFELY. WE HAVE ONLY SOLD THE OPS-INC MILITARY BRAKES WITH: 1. RETROFIT ITEMS FOR OUR DOZEN CRANE CONTRACTOR-BUILT SPR UPPERS WE GOT BACK IN '02. THE BRAKES WERE NOT AVAILABLE WHEN THEY WERE BUILT. 2. Some of us would rather have the real deal than a knock-off muzzle device. Same reason I don't buy airsoft, it might look like the real deal, but in the end it's just a fake. Others just want 'the look'. Different strokes for different folks... No offense to the just for looks crowd. |
