I  have allways liked the look with the 5.5 inch flash hider. I thought I read here that if the PWA lowers marked Commando left the factory as a complete rifle.
I think my 20" postban and my m4 have been talking about a threesome.
Who am i to complain with them?

PWA never built or sold complete rifles.  They were mainly an AR parts house but you could purchase a "kit" that contained no barrel.  It was some sort of way to beat paying excise taxes.  They have been out of business for about 5+ years now.  Too bad, they made a really nice receiver.

I wish I had another PWA receiver.  [:(]

My PWA was purchased as a stripped lower only, and is marked Commando.  But I was building a CAR anyway.

All PWA lower receivers were marked identically as shown in the picture below....

I have a pre-ban PWA "Commando" lower.  To the best of my knowledge PWA never made assembled rifles.  Interestingly enough, when I bought my AR it was assembled in the Vietnam-era "Commando" configuration.  I wondered about this (just like you) for some time.

My SHTF franken-carbine is the PWA lower and a Bushmaster superlight A3 upper.  The fit between the two is outstanding and although I have less than 2000 rounds through the new settup so far there's been no relaibility issues.

I love my PWA lower.
