Don't hurt me for asking this, but who makes large pin recievers and who makes small pin recievers. I have an Armalite M15 and taking a wild guess I'd say its a large pin. Basically I want to know who manufactures uppers that would fit my lower.

Only manufactuter making off sized pins is Colt.

Edited to add that from time to time some of the other major manufactuters made large pin uppers for use on Colt lowers.

Stick with any major manufacturer but Colt and you should be OK pin size wise.

Also to clarify that the large front take down pin and larger FCG pins can be found in any combination and configuration on Colt stuff.  My colt has a standard front take down pin but a large pin FCG.

Virtually all Colt pre-ban rifles had oversize (and off-center) pivot pins.

Virtually all Colt post-ban rifles have standard (i.e., small)-sized pivot pins, but oversize fire control pins and related parts.

Everyone else uses the standard (small) parts for everything.

Troy:

Actually mine is a pre ban with the standard front take down and large FCG pins.

I bought it like in 89 or 90.

It has the sear block, came with no bayonet lug but had an A2 flash supressor making it an assault rifle,

Colt = King of the Exception

Notice the word "virtually" in my previous post.
