| Can someone tell me of a good Birdcage style flash hider that can be mounted on a pre-ban 14.5" barrel to bring it to legal length? I know of the Gemtech bi-lock, and thats it. There are others like the Vortex, etc. However I want it to look as close as possible to a A2 birdcage. Thanks! |

Here you go: http://www.kurtskustomfirearms.citymax.com/catalog/item/29585/5301.htm Also check out these as I believe them to be more effective at suppressing muzzle flash than the A2 birdcage. They will also bring your 14.5" barrel to the legal 16" when permanently attached. |

Go here Third one down. I have no experience with these however. [red]Edited to Add: Does anyone know why manufactures don't offer a 15" M4 barrel so that the A2 FS could be perm. attached without having to worry about legal issues or using another less authentic flash suppressor?[/red] |

If you can have a flash hider on your AR, why not get one that actually hides the flash like the Vortex or Phantom? And, you may have already asked yourself this question but what matters more - how it looks or how it functions? |
| I was considering this myself and was warned that with the FS permanantly attached you won't be able to get the front site post off/gas block off for repair or replacement. If something goes wrong with that wou're pretty much out a barrel too. Some have said you can get the supressor off with a dremmel and some careful work, but I wouldn't want to go through with all that. Just food for thought. |
