I'm looking for info about the Leader DynamicsT2 MK5 AR-15 variant. The one I'm interested in is a pre-ban 223.I know nothing of this rifle except it uses AR mags has a flashhider and bayo lug.I have seen a picture but I'm interested in how it holds up compared to others and if any AR's share parts. If it's a dispose-a-gun then I'll pass on it.I've heard it's a take-off of the AR18.Anything would help,Thanks Don

Stay away.  Stay far away.  Leader are in a class with Hesse.  Lousy rifles and they aren't worth it, even if it is pre-ban.

I agree pretty much junk, maybe be worth it as a curiosity piece on how bad you can screw up a rifle.

I'd have to disagree with the other posts.  I have a friend who has had one for years and it is a good gun, very much like the AR-180 but made in Austraila I think.  Don't spend  much for it but if it is in good shape I'd pick it up.  Remember the only bad part is it is a rare preban assault rifle and if it breaks getting replacement spare parts might be a problem so you'd have to make up your own mind about that.  I'd avoid if this is your only gun but if it's just another gun in the safe go ahead.  762

Thanks to all,as far as assault guns go I'm doing pretty goodThe fact this was a pre-ban is what caught my eye. There's always lots to learn when it comes to the variants of AR's or AK's and what better place to ask!I believe I'll pass on this one as my funds are better suited for shooters that I can repair.Well except for the little AK .177 w/folding stock I just bought.Wood forearm w/mostly steel body and metal folder w/bakelite inset, real Ak type adjustable sights and pistol grip.Slightly scaled down but to its credit it never even trembled when put away with all the big boys.Every now and then I get one just for fun. Thanks Don
