Rock River Arms 20" A2
Remington 870 Police Magnum
Romanian WASR-10 (hicap)
Smith & Wesson Model 22-A
Glock 21
Glock 19

I hope to put black furniture on the AK pretty soon and add a S&W .357 Magnum to the group. Then, I am getting a bolt gun.

Just thought I would share.

Mighty fine start!  When ya gettin' the Gold Cup?

Is a Gold up a 1911? If so, I would love to add a Springfield GI to the collection, but I don't think I can justify another pistol in my budget after I get the revolver.

Maybe one day, if they aren't banned! :D

nice setup...

rra:  whats your logic with the a2?  I never understand a2 carrying handles

shotgun:  nice :D

ak:  good little ak... how does it shoot accuracy-wise?

glocks:  my fav. handguns :D

don't get a bolt gun... no need when you have autoloaders like the dpms who's accuracy is par with any bolt...

unless you want 300 win mag, 338 lupua or <

but good set up... whats your go to gun?

Logic with the A2?stronger than a flattop with a BUIS,and for those of us who like to master iron sights over a red dot wich I have but irons dont need batteries,A1 or A2 fits the bill for a no frills work horse..iron sights first, every thing else is just back up..my .02

You've got a nice setup Verbatim. Have you put it in the pic thread yet? You should give it the attention it deserves [:)]

Nice starting collection.

Now all you need is a Para 50:63 FAL and your set!

Thanks for the replies!

I like the A2 because I actually prefer iron sights to optics and the A2 rear sight is my favorite. I am a no (low) frills kind of guy. :D I like the 20" because it is more accurate (yes it is, don't argue) and the ballistics are better. This RRA is an HBAR which is very easy to hold steady and damn accurate. I love it.

I haven't shot the WASR-10 yet, but hope to tomorrow, so I will let you know about accuracy.

Yes, I too am a Glock freak. :D

My "go to" gun right now is either of the two pistols (usually the 21 with the M3 attached) or the shotgun.

I don't know of any "auto" made that can shoot 3 inch groups at 500 plus yards. The bolt gun I build, will. ;)

CJan, no, I want to wait until I finish the mods I have planned for this set and then I will post it.

I would love to get a FAL (or even a CETME) but my bolt gun will probably be a .308 so that nitch will be filled.

I just love to see pictures of an A2 with 20" barrel that's not all tricked out.  It is comforting to know that others share my preferences.

It's my favorite too.

I grew up around 20" A1's and then, later A2's and I guess it stuck!

Nice collection!!!

----

Hehe... my 20" A2 is all stock, except that it has a flat-top with the handle attached (makes it an A4, I think, doesn't it?).  My M4gery is all tricked out (my wife calls it my "pimp" gun), but my A2/A4 is stock.

And I like it that way.

:D

A good start.  [:P]

When you're on your second, third, fourth gun safe...then you have an arsenal.

Speaking of safes, if you don't have one yet, I would put the bolt gun on hold until you do.

Do you have a SAM's club nearby Verbatim?

I'm about to buy a Winchester safe from my local SAM's club. I've done quite a bit of reading and this one is a good value for the money.

I just need to rent a pickup to get it home. It's too big to fit in my wife's Explorer [%|]

Yeah we have a Sam's club and I am supposed to be a member but have never been to get my card made.

How much and what size are you looking at?

That's a nice AK. Did you refinish the metal? If so, details?

nope its a WASR-10 just like yours, took out the thumbhole stock, added a USA made pistol grip and stock set, and added the gen2 korbra red dot, bought a couple waffel mags. as for the metal just cleaned them good and put a coat of oil on it

as for the 20inch A2, i plan on buying one also, just cuz its a classic design, altough im leaning towards an A3 so i can mount a nice flat top acog on it. Im waiting for the 20 A2(3) till after the AWB so i can get a nice bushy or amarlite, perhaps even colt if they offer it crome lined then with all the evil features on it :) mUAHAHAHAHA evil

Other than the finish, I like the Gold Cup. If I spent that kind of money on a 1911, though, it would be a custom built gun just for me.

verbatim,
How do you like that Smith & Wesson Model 22-A?
I've been thinking of getting one, since we can't buy too many new affordable semi .22's here in MA (no Buckmarks, no Rugers).  I have a Walther P22 now. Re: the arsenal, I'll need to work on a group photo sometime, but to get everything in, it may look like a pile!  :-)
